Tao Te Ching

Lao-Tzus klassiker Tao Te Ching översattes av den brittiske författaren, magikern och profeten Aleister Crowley (1875–1947) år 1918 E.V. med hjälp av en icke-kroppslig adept som kallade sig Amalantrah.

Crowley hyste ett djupt och bestående intresse för Asiens visdomsläror och filosofi, och hans personliga erfarenheter av Asien gjorde honom till en av de första västerländska studenter som fick en djup förståelse för orientalisk filosofi utan att vara färgad av eurocentriska eller judeo-kristna fördomar. Detta är den första svenska översättningen av ett av Crowleys mästerverk.

Publicerad på svenska 2020 i 418 exemplar, 130 sidor, 185 mm x 135 mm, hårdinbunden med guldprägling, skyddsomslag tryckt i fyrfärg.

Lao-Tzu's classic Tao Te Ching was translated in 1918 E.V. by the British writer, magician and prophet Aleister Crowley (1875–1947) with the help of a discarnate Adept who called himself Amalantrah.

Crowley had a deep and abiding interest in the ancient philosophies of the Orient, and his first-hand experience of the Orient made him one of the first Western students to grasp Oriental philosophy on its own terms, without a Eurocentric or Judeo-Christian cultural bias. This is the first Swedish translation of one of Crowley's masterpieces.
